Office Start Screen shows tiles of some predefined templates which help users in creating new documents quickly and easily. All our company templates are categorized in different folders, which appears as tabs in the "File New Dialog Classic", and that's fine, but Microsoft also adds quite a lot of tabs from templates on Microsoft.
All the tabs on the first row sorry it's in Swedish are from Microsoft - and I haven't set any path to that, as far as I know. I had read several threads that totally lost me. Yours was quick, simple AND gave me exactly what I was used to working with!

Thanks, but didn't work. Word docs still have generic icon, though I've successfully created a new Iconcache. Can I manually insert a Word icon into the Iconcache. In reply to TJLangan's post on April 26, Have you tried right clicking on a document in Windows Explorer and selecting Open with Thanks, but that was one of the first fix attempts.
Didn't work, still doesn't. Microsoft Tech Support couldn't solve this "Word Icon" problem either. Even after they upgraded my Office to Office Professional, the generic icon for docx files remained. In reply to TJLangan's post on April 27, Suzanne S. Barnhill MVP.

Or you can use Open With to reestablish the correct file association.
